Dear Brent,

Sitting on the deck in the backyard last night, it occurred to me that I needed to send a note complimenting the work you and the Perfect Lawns and Landworks crew did for us.

We have always enjoyed our time outside. The deck and poll have hosted many social and Family get together’s.But although we have a very large yard, because of its configuration and dramatic change in topography, the majority of the area was unusable.

Brent, we have witnessed an amazing transformation.Prior to PL&L tackling this project, only a small percentage of the backyard was utilized. Now, the majority of the yard is inviting and accessible. We truly have enhanced the value of the property.

This was a challenging undertaking, and the folks you have working for you deserve a lot of credit.I had the opportunity to visit and work directly with quite a few of your employees, and to a person they would make you proud.Every organization is a reflection of their staff and you’ve got a top notch group of people.

In particular I’d like to mention Tom Randall, your landscape architect, who took my rough sketches and ideas and translated them into a working, practical design. He listened to what I envisioned and put together a cohesive and imaginative master plan.I wanted to thank you too, for so strongly encouraging me to spend the minimal amount needed to draw up the working plans.Between my imagination and you and Tom’s conceptualization we had a blueprint that would work.It was money well spent.

The guys that put in the irrigation system were very hard workers.Rafael was terrific. His crew really shone. That was a big area with significant changes in elevation and challenges in coverage. And I really appreciated the time he spent with me explaining the system and its capabilities. It works great and even passed muster with the City!

Probably the most impressive aspect of the entire project was the masonry. The 18-20 drop in elevation demanded significant stone work and an equal amount of creativity.Serafin and his team did an absolutely tremendous job juxtaposing the various sections of the project and transforming it into an arrangement that really flows. The elevated garden beds already are producing vegetables. And the fireplace is a true work of art.

If there is one person I need to single out, it would be Rudy. The role he played as project manager was absolutely critical. He kept is all running smoothly. The coordination amongst the various crews, the nasty weather we encountered…through it all he was my “go to” man.I don’t have enough compliments to say how important his involvement in this project was.Rudy kept me informed, he delivered the good news, and he told me straight when there were hurdles. From the very first meeting, all through the entire process, Rudy made himself available for questions and answers. He reassured me when I was concerned, provided a laundry list of invaluable suggestions and was always available when needed. He is the great communicator and I don’t think I’d have been nearly as happy with the finished project if not for his involvement.Every team has a leader, and a guy like Rudy on your squad makes you the envy of all your competitors.

I’m certain I’ve forgotten to mention some of the others. It was a good group of guys. They were some I can’t remember their names, but the whole crew were hard working, courteous people. One guy dropped what he was doing to help my recently widowed neighbor. He didn’t have to do that but it might be on of the most considerate acts I’ve ever seen. You’ve got some great employees, Brent. My thanks, and appreciation.

Most sincerely,

James P. Forrest

Oh.I almost forgot.Your assistant Amiee is extremely resourceful, professional and attentive. She also is a phenomenal representative of your firm. She is bright, cheerful, and a really pleasure to work with.
